One of the many long-term benefits of ETC’s work is that women often become able and willing to take a more active role in public life. Click here to watch a short (less than one minute) video about ETC women’s group members who have recently run for, and won, elected office!

Kids in Nepal primary schools practice their writing and hone their fine motor skills by making craft projects. Here is a birthday calendar made by the children in one classroom. This is a great example of the fun AND useful classroom activities that ETC’s teacher training promotes. Supporting alternatives to rote learning improves student engagement AND teacher job satisfaction too!

This lady is Bishnu Maya Shrestha, a member of ETC’s Sayapatri Women’s Group and now also a small business owner! Hundreds of women like Bishnu Maya can gain entrepreneurial skills, take out an affordable loan from their women’s groups’ microcredit funds, and make better lives for themselves and their families. Thanks as always to YOU, ETC’s friends and supporters, who make it all possible.
