About Sponsorship

Starting or renewing a sponsorship is an excellent way to make a lasting contribution to women and children in Nepal. Please click on one of the images below for more information about the various opportunities.

A quick note about sponsorships and communication:

Some of you have expressed a wish to to send packages and letters for us to pass along to them.

While we certainly understand why someone would wish to do this, it makes things very difficult on our Nepal staff and causes us to incur additional expenses. Sending packages to Nepal is expensive. Once a package arrives, a staff member has to take charge of it and carry it (often a long way) to its intended destination – many of these villages are not directly along a road and must be reached on foot. Moreover, it can cause bad feeling and resentment if a few children receive something from their sponsors and the rest do not.

We therefore ask for your understanding when we request that you NOT send packages or correspondence for us to pass along to your sponsored child or women’s group.

Also, please note that we have no way for you to contact the children directly via phone or e-mail.

If you have any questions about this policy, please contact us.
