Our theme for October is “ETC by the numbers.”
ETC trains and supports aspiring farmers in raising goats, which are a very popular livestock animal in Nepal. Women receive support for purchasing “starter goats” and building proper housing, as well as training in fodder/forage management. For the past three years, 226 ETC women’s group members made an annual average of $41 each from raising and selling goats – a truly significant increase in their household incomes!
