"My School and Environment": A Drawing Contest
Creative expression is an important factor in childhood development, contributing to both emotional well-being and socialization. Recently Educate the Children sponsored a drawing contest for 4th and 5th grade students from several schools in our Godavari and Ichangu Narayan project areas.
Dichi Bhotia Tells Her Story
Dichi Bhotia is a student in the Residential Schooling Program of our partner organization the Nepal Bhotia Education Center. She wrote her story in Nepali (her second language) and it was translated by Anita Paudel in our Nepal office.
Child Clubs Help Form New Leaders
Since 2003 Educate the Children has helped organize Child Clubs in many of the schools where we work. Currently, there are twelve Clubs operating in our Godavari and Ichangu Narayan project areas with almost 1600 members, many of whom are children of women participating in our Women's Empowerment Program.
ETC provides scholarships, teacher training, building materials and more to improve the quality of education in public schools. ![]()
Through literacy training and organizational development ETC helps women gain the skills needed to become strong leaders in their communities.
